Founded in 1947 in Turin, Roberto Sport has earned a place of honor in the history of automatic table football, not only for being one of the first manufacturers of table football but above all for the contribution it has made to the development of five-a-side football, both technologically and promotionally.
In fact, today, five-a-side football is a quintessential Italian product , which over the years has increasingly asserted its international appeal, becoming one of the most popular games in Europe, North America, North Africa, and even the Middle East.
Over the years, to adapt to an increasingly demanding and competitive market, Roberto Sport's production has expanded and today the company offers a wide range of games, both coin-operated and non-coin-operated, which include table football, carom tables, ping pong and hockey tables.
The production of table football
Production is carried out almost entirely within the Lessolo factory, using selected and controlled domestic materials that allow for the creation of a quality product 100% Made in Italy.
We start with the raw wood, onto which the laminate is first glued and then worked with modern numerically controlled pantographs that perform the holes and shapes necessary for assembling the table football.
The tempered and chrome-plated steel tubes are machined and stamped in-house.
Two injection molding presses allow for the in-house production of most plastic components such as bushings, knobs, doors, feet, men, etc.
The tubes with the little men are assembled with the other components: bushings, knobs, internal rod in order to compose the single complete rod.
A well-equipped metalwork workshop produces all iron and sheet metal parts.
Finally, assembly begins: first, the outer casing is assembled by hand, joining the various plywood parts. The remaining parts are then assembled inside the cabinet to create a finished product ready for shipment.
